High-Level Lao Sangha Delegation Participates in the Consecration and Merit-Making Ceremony at the Lao-Vietnam Friendship Monastery in Xieng Khouang
On April 11–12, 2026, His Eminence Damrong Phimmajak, Vice- President of the Central Buddhist Fellowship Organization (CBFO) of the Lao PDR and Director -General of the Committee for Sangha Foreign Affairs, alongside Most Venerable Dr. Daosadet Lerthmany, Member of Permanent Supreme Sangha Cabinet of Central Buddhist Fellowship Organization of the Lao PDR and Deputy Director-General of the Committee for Sangha Foreign Affairs, led a high-level delegation to attend a series of sacred ceremonies at the Lao-Vietnam Friendship Monastery in Xieng Khouang Province.
The religious proceedings included the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of a new Sima (Ordination Hall), the foundation of a nine-story Great Stupa, and the casting of a Great Bell. These auspicious events were held in observance of the Mahayana Vesak Day celebrations and functioned as a grand merit-making ceremony dedicated to the souls of the heroic fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the war.
May these meritorious deeds and collective virtues serve as a spiritual dedication to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. May they receive the great fruits of this merit and enjoy eternal peace and sublime happiness in the higher realms of existence (Samparāyabhava).
